Bathed by the sun from morning to night, the rifugio has a sun terrace and large windows for an extraordinary view of the glacier.

When you enter the rifugio you can still hear the echoes of history, as well as smell the appetising aromas of the local dishes that are particularly irresistible in the light, crisp, mountain air. A steaming plate of polenta and melted cheese, venison and mushrooms, Knödel dumplings, soup of the day, good wine and don’t miss out on the delicious apple strudel, strictly homemade. Snacks, desserts and, as always, the grappas with mountain herbs such as gentian and mountain pine.

Those who take the Alta Via No. 2, the Munich-Venice or are preparing to ascend to the top of the Marmolada, can use the historic rifugio as a stopping point and stay there overnight before resuming their hike the following day after a good varied breakfast. Built at the beginning of the 20th century in a strategic spot from which you can take four different routes of the Alta Via No. 2 and other alternative trails, we offer various types of rooms with bunk beds and communal services, with hot showers:
